THE DEPRIVED PEOPLE........................................AN AFRICAN TALE........ 2011

Book: The Deprived!

Author: Zavier Simpson

CHAPTER ONE

One day my elder brother came back to our village. He was suffering with a strange illness; that weakened his powerful warrior anatomy, making him seem as if he was almost to die. The chief of my village, The Great Camcubana Man, informs the village community about the strange and lurking disease. He called it the small pox, and said it was carried by caravan traders interacting with white men, from far away lands. I decided to get some medicine for my dieing brother in the thick jungled regions of Benin were the bush Doctors lived. Many dangerous wild animals; lion, poisnous snakes and alligators lived in the deep bushes, so i moved cautiously, making good use of my African survival skills. I made the journey safely through the mighty Corara Jungle, and unto the large flat plains of Benin. "Things were not so good in Benin", said the medicine man. "The local farmers and most skill Beninians such as Craftsman,Mason and Blacksmiths were captured in a *la*hdy and terrible tribal raid". The medicine man continues by saying, "many of the warriors were captured and taken away!". I became nervous of the strange incidents happening on the once peaceful lush green continent of Africa. I thanked the medicine man, gave him five beautiful cowie shells in exchange for the herbs. I then nervously crawled outside of the small hut. The sun was extremely hot and very bright, as i ventured on my journey back to my village in Dahomey. I decided to take a quick rest beneath a huge; tall cotton tree, by the dirt track. I was feeling relax inhaling the fresh air mix with fragrance from orchid flowers near by. BANG!! almost like thunder, birds went scattering in flight from trees. Bang! bang! bang! a heavy noise went disturbing the air, i have never heard that terrible sound before. I got scared and nervous, i began to run, BANG! the heavy sound went echoing once again.

CHAPTER TWO

I was very nervous and shaky; I realized that i was been chased, by men from one of Benin's most terrible war like tribes; with their spears and the unknown BANG! weapon. The chase was long, and i had been caught. They bound my hands tightly behind my back, and dragged me off to an area where many Africans were held in captive like animals. The structure of the building in which we were held was very strong, i could not break through with all my might. The space was small or may it be the large number of persons that were inside. It was dark and cold. I didn't talk with anyone inside the cage, because i could not interpret their language..... we were of different tribes. Night had now fall over the land, yet no one was sleeping, just weeping. The smaller captives and females in their teenage years were sobbing, softly in the fear not to be heared by the men standing by the cage with spears. I felt hopeless and frightened. A drop of tears fell from my eyes down unto my thick dark lips. It seem as if i fell asleep in the late night something very freezy and raw was thrown unto us. It was sea water. ....................>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> WANT MORE? EMAIL ME xsimpson19x@yahoo.com
