Appleton launched its 'A-Team' group of promoters and events at the Villagio Gaming Lounge at the Wyndham Kingston in New Kingston on Wednesday night.
The Villagio Lounge was a hub of activity with A-Team selector ZJ Ice playing the latest in dancehall and R&B as members of the A-Team mingled with guests before making their big announcements. Presentations were made by the likes of LIME Jamaica's Tara Playfair-Scott, Appleton's Jared Samuel and Appleton A-Team member Ibrahim 'IB' Konteh. The Appleton girls were also on hand, giving out flyers for upcoming events.

The 'A-Team' is a group of promoters from across the island, which has like its television namesake, joined forces, but to bring a slew of events it feels will rock the island.
The list of A-Team events include: 40 Winks from Mandeville, Rebel T Spring Break, Dolce, Ink'd, ATI in Negril, Impy Skimpy and Luau in Ocho Rios, Friction from May Pen, Officially Diagnosed, Uber Blue, CPR, Temperature all from Montego Bay. From Kingston - Smudge, Karma, Barcode, Altitude, Rum Punch this weekend, Yesterday, Musique, Summer Musique, South Beach, Magic City, Coco Fridays, Extatic Fridays, May Daze, UWI Carnival, Carnival, Integration Thursdays, Club Theory, Levels, Stir It Up and 11:59 among others.
Brand Manager of Appleton, David Walton commented: "this is the first time an association like this has ever been done and AJR is proud to present the best events under one banner. ATI is the closest to compare to the A-Team. However, this group is much different and spans over 30 events in one year."
Spokesperson for A-Team, Konteh, added, "most of the events under the A-Team banner has been events that has been with the AJR over a number of years, while some of them it would be the first time working with the group or returning, such as Yesterday's Best of the 90s and Smudge."
