Visitors and staff at the Spanish Town courthouse in St Catherine are crying out for help with the sanitary conveniences.
The Star visited the court facility and saw people complaining that they are angry that they are unable to do bodily functions at the facilities provided.
A number of persons were seen acting in disgust about the situation. "This is a sad situation, you come to court and yu can't urinate or do anything else. If yu lef, dem issue warrant fi yu arrest, " Martin Martindalem, a litigant said.
His view was shared among a number of persons who also turned up at the court. "We cannot even go to the bathrooms as they have now padlocked the doors," a court employee said.
The concerns surround the toilets not being flushed due to the lack of water.
It was revealed that for the past two weeks, there has been a shortage of water at the court, due to a pump at the premises not working.
Many people expressed that with the Circuit Court in session, the situation needs urgent attention as the problem can cause an outbreak of various sicknesses.
Meanwhile, senior personnel at the court's office say they are waiting for the pump to be repaired so the matter can be addressed.
