Artiste said to have been hit in the head with pipe
Michael Davey, more popularly known in music circles as Powerman, recently found himself nursing head injuries after he was allegedly beaten by his landlord after the two had an altercation.
Allegations are that on September 2, around 9:30 p.m., the artiste and his landlord were in an altercation over rent monies. It is alleged that the accused, Nicholas Henry, used a piece of iron pipe to inflict wounds on the artiste causing injuries to his forehead.
It is alleged that the accused told the deejay; "Yuh deh a foreign a call man crackhead. Dont mi tell yuh seh when you come Jamaica mi a go crack yuh head."

It is further alleged that after the incident, the artiste drove himself to the Constant Spring Police Station where he made a report and he was then taken to the hospital.
It is reported that the artiste, who was overseas, had just returned to the Kingston 8 premises only to find out that his gas stove and his water were disconnected.
Henry, 47, was charged for unlawful wounding and is to return to the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court on December 1, when the matter will be mentioned as there is an outstanding medical report.
Powerman is known for several dancehall hits in the 90s including Serious Things Ago Happen and Gal A Call Wi. He has, however, been somewhat out of the limelight in recent years.
