Shelton was compared by the Barca coach to another famous Jamaican...
Luton Shelton caught the eye of Barcelona boss Pep Guardiola during Thursday evening's friendly encounter between Valerenga and the Blaugrana.
Seemingly finished with the Norwegian club only 12 months ago, the 24-year-old attacker caused a fringe Barca side many problems due to his speed and movement, and Guardiola was quick to recognise the threat the attacker presented.
"Luton Shelton was extremely fast," the coach told Aftenposten. "He is from Jamaica, so maybe he is the son of Usain Bolt!"
"The team had good midfielders, but we knew that already. We saw two videos of Valerenga and knew what the players [Mohammed] Fellah and [Harmeet] Singh are capable of. We thought the Norwegian team just hit long passes, but they played well. Moa is also a very good player."
Barcelona won the fixture 4-2, despite deploying few first team squad members.
