Jamaicas Police Commissioner Owen Ellington is calling on police officers to be vigilant on and off duty.
He assured them that the Police High Command is trying to work out a resolution to the impasse created by the extradition request for Christopher Dudus Coke.
All Police divisions will be advised of their level of participation if and when it is required, said Ellington.
The Commissioners pep talk came in a message that was transmitted to members of the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF), the Island Special Constabulary Force (ISCF) and the rural police last night.
In the meantime, childrens advocate Mary Clarke is expressing concern about the fate of the children in Tivoli Gardens regarding the extradition request for Christopher Dudus Coke.
The police say the children are being prevented from leaving the community and are therefore unable to attend school.
