The undefeated boxer, who had a record of 27-0 with 27 knockouts, reportedly committed suicide.Here's what happened. Edwin had a history of BEATING his wife, at one point beating her so bad that her ribs broke and punctured her lung.Last month, the woman finally decided to leave Edwin - who is one of the MOST POPULAR SPORTS FIGURES in their home country of Venezuela.But on Sunday night, the lightweight champ tracked her down to a hotel and beat her to death. Shortly after he finished the deed police came and, after questioning him, arrested the champ for murder.Instead of facing the law for this action, Edwin hanged himself in his jail cell yesterday.
