Riot ... man on car is surrounded by cops


A MAN is surrounded by cops yesterday as a riot broke out when a flash mob of 2,000 were locked out of a fashion sale.

Staff shut the shop doors when the crowd turned up after hearing on Facebook that items would be sold for as little as £1.

Several police were injured as angry customers turned violent at the trendy US clothing store American Apparel in Brick Lane, East London.

Three arrests were made.

Shopper Jon Devo, 23, said: "Police were using batons. People were being dragged out of the crowds."
