The St Catherine North police will be going all out to dismantle the notorious Clansman and One Order gangs which are alleged to be wreaking havoc in sections of the division.
The gangs are known to operate in and around Spanish Town, St Catherine but in recent times have spread their wings into other parishes.
The police say that both gangs are suspected to be behind more than 100 murders committed in the division since 2002, the year in which they waged a war for the gains of an extortion rackets in the municipal bus park in Spanish Town.

Head of the division, Super-intendent Assan Thompson says the gangs are suspected to be responsible for a large number of murders committed in the parish last year.
"We will continue and won't stop until the One Order and Clansman gangs are destroyed," Superintendent Thompson said. "These are two very dangerous gangs, two of the most dangerous in the Caribbean and one of our major initiatives for this year is to dismantle them."
Seven high-profile members of the gangs are now behind bars, three from One Order and four from Clansman. Their identifications are being withheld, however, as they are not yet officially charged.
Police say they are investigation casesin which the men are suspected to be involved and they may be charged soon.
