What are your sources? I can understand speaking the "American Language" but speaking "American" would be saying speaking "Jamaican"; I can't speak myself.
speaking the american language/american samething. i dont remember my exact source but its probably on wikipedia. its not speaking 'yourself' its one word with many meanings (synonym--no wait anonym--wait thats probably not it eaither--something like that though)
