THE STAR yesterday learnt that Lewis is to purchase the coffin from the popular Brite Lite Funeral Services.

"Mi jus go pick out him (Mr. G) coffin ... . Yu nuh hear mi tell uno seh people ago dead a Sting, Goofy ago dead ... a $200,000 mi spend pon it," the confident sounding Lewis said who at every chance during the interview interjected that he would be victorious at the show billed for Jamworld in Portmore, St Catherine, come Boxing Day.

Tommy Thompson, chief executive officer of the funeral home confirmed that Lewis had visited his offices, picked out the coffin and made a deposit.

"Yes man, LA Lewis come pay down on a coffin fi Goofy inna di 200 (thousand) bracket," Thompson said.

"Him seh him ago kill Goofy," he added while laughing.

The two did not disclose the plans for the design. They, how-ever, claimed it would be a surprise left for Sting.

Many may not take Lewis seriously but, according to him, people are going to see a different person at Sting.

"A nuh LA Lewis people ago see, a di seven-star general ... . LA Lewis a di businessman but di seven-star general a di warrior," he explained.

It was reported last month that Mr G was in trouble with the law after allegedly using his licensed firearm to assault LA Lewis.

The incident reportedly occurred at a business place on Old Hope Road in the Kingston 6 area.

Reports are that Mr G had an altercation with his fellow deejay over money owed to him. It is alleged that when Lewis, real name Horace Lewis, failed to pay over the money, Mr G grabbed Lewis' phone, a Motorola Sidekick said to value US$500. Further reports are that Lewis tried to retrieve the phone from Mr G but was slapped on the hand with a firearm.

The incident was reported to the Matilda's Corner Police Station.

Now, LA Lewis is willing to settle the matter outside of court, dropping the case against Mr G if he clashes with him at Sting.

Having approached Sting promoter Isaiah Laing about the clash, Laing met with Mr G and Lewis and the clash was signed off on by both parties.
