It's the young versus the old....while Bounty have more world wide fans....Kartel is who Jamaica rate rite now.

This is an old story different names and ironically enough the last time I saw this was when Bounty kicked off with SupaCat. It's the changing of the guard.

Do I think Kartel will ever reach Bounty's level in dancehall? No not even close. He has been around for nearly 10 years and is only now reaching somewhere. It's like having Michael Jordan(bounty) play one on one against Carmelo Anthony(kartel) today. Who would win?  Carmelo would win.....age plays the main factor.

Bounty has revolutionized dancehall....he set a trend that is unmistakeable. I hear a man talking about grammy. Seriously are you going to use something created maintained and judged by people who don't and probably never entered a dancehall event? Seriously? Grammy? A true litmus test is the chunes that sounds have played again and again.....chunes that ended sounds career. Understand the dynamics....sounds play chunes for the biggest forward. weither in clash or juggling. Unlike radio DJ's which are more susceptible to record label bribery. anyways getting away from industry politics.....that would take too long.

I'm 37 and listen to dancehall from the 80's I have or heard every major clash since the 90's. When ppl look at youtube clips of Bounty vs Beenie in '93. I was there.

To conclude this long winded essay....Kartel would win cuzz the wind is in his sails. He isn't afraid of Bounty....he knows how to work his fans/critics. He's intelligent no doubt.....why do u think he ignores Adonia? Cuzz Adonia is lyrically talented with great stage presence and could possibly beat him.....that would end his career.....however if he won as long as adonia does well his career will still boost and Kartel will benefit very little.

At the end of it all....Movado is the best artist in JA today. He needs to continue on the path he's on. Don't get too caught up inna the "crab inna barrel tings". Focus on quality chunes.

Who did Bounty beat on stage? Betweeny? in '93 Sting while it was a great clash prob the best he neva really dunn betweeny. He was the crowd fav and best case scenario he barely won that......to reference winning clashes see Ninja vs Red Dragon/Flourgon....see Ninja VS Shabba (when time Shabba haffi cry behind stage) I could go on but those are true victories.

I could be wrong but Bounty only defeated Lexxus/Vegas/Ninja/SupaCat/monstershack on wax.
I can't recall him beatin anybody on stage......pls let me kno.....maybe my memory foggy.....

PS he definately didn't defeat Merciless......best case scenario.....a draw
