Omar Johnson, popularly known as Poor and Boasy, turned himself in at the Half-Way Tree Police Station shortly after 11 a.m. yesterday.
Deputy Superintendent Michael Phipps told THE STAR yesterday that Johnson appeared in the station with his lawyer and was placed in custody.
The officer said that he will be turned over to the Manchester police where it is expected that he will be charged.
It is reported that Johnson allegedly stabbed Lindon Clarke, a resident of Aenon Town, Clarendon, during a dispute.
It is claimed that Clarke and Johnson got into an heated argument during a game of cards. Clarke said that he walked away and then was later attacked and stabbed several times all over his body.
An unsuccessful effort was later made by the Spaldings police to apprehend Johnson.
Poor and Boasy was the male winner in the recently concluded Magnum Kings and Queens of Dancehall competition.
