A motorcyclist who crashed into a cow was later pronounced dead at hospital after the animal's horn pierced his chest, the police told THE STAR.
The dead man has been identified as Jermaine Loney, 26, of Big Woods in St Elizabeth.
The police told THE STAR that about 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Loney was riding his Honda motorcycle from Hopewell, Hanover, to Big Woods, when on reaching near the Seventh-day Adventist church in Williamsfield, St Elizabeth, two cows ran across the road into the path of the motorcycle.
Loney's motorcycle, the police say, collided with one of the cows and he received injuries to his chest and head.
The police say Loney was taken to the Black River Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
