From BallerStatus.com -- As the hip-hop inches closer to nearly 40 years since being introduced in the Bronx in New York City in the 1970s, the genre has grown tremendously. That means some of today's biggest artists have aged along with it. Some of the game's pioneers have maintained their presence over the years, continuing to grow their brand, while some haven't.
Either way, it shows how much hip-hop has grown and will continue to grow in the coming years.
