Three people including a woman were taken into police custody following the seizure of six illegal guns during an operation at Newton district, Lacovia, St Elizabeth, yesterday.

Their names have been withheld pending further investigation.

According to information received by the Constabulary Communication Network about 4:30 a.m., a team of police carried out a special operation, in Newton district. During the operation a house occupied by the three was searched. The search yielded four 9mm pistols, one .357 magnum pistol and .357 magnum revolver. The three were subsequently taken into police custody.
