Juventus Boss Claudio Ranieri Keeps Positive

Juventus failed to make up ground on Serie A leaders Inter, as a gutsy Sampdoria side escaped the Stadio Olimpico with a precious point.

When you fail to convert so many scoring opportunities, you often risk losing the game, Claudio Ranieri stated after the match.

Its been a long time since we created so many chances, but in the end we managed to pick up one point and I have nothing to reproach my side for.

Sampdoria took the lead through Giampaolo Pazzini, but the Doriani then rode their luck, as Juve incredibly hit the framework four times.

Did we make a mistake on Pazzinis goal? We need to give credit to our opponents, but we certainly contributed to it, mused the tactician.

We always try to improve ourselves and will watch the game again to spot our flaws.

Sebastian Giovinco was thrown into the fray in the second half and provided the assist for Amauris equalizer.

Giovinco did very well and opened up their defence when he came on, said the ex-Chelsea trainer.

But the entire team had a good game, we had lots of chances and I really cannot blame the lads today.

Inter host Milan in the Derby della Madonnina tonight and could extend their lead at the top of the table to nine points.

This draw could inevitably cost us, but we must stay positive and keep our fingers crossed, insisted Ranieri.

We have to do our best and keep down this road, hoping that our rivals will drop something along the way.
