book of Revelation pt 3

Revelation 11:7
7 And when they shall have finished their testimony, the beast that ascendeth out of the bottomless pit shall make war against them, and shall overcome them, and kill them. (KJV)

The scriptural context indicates it will be the Antichrist who will wage war against the Two Witnesses after he invades Israel. Yet, this passage identifies the beast, representing the personage of Antichrist, as one who will ascend out of the bottomless pit, an obvious reference to Satan. (Rev. 20:1-10). Thus, both the Antichrist and Satan are closely identified with the symbolic beast, thereby indicating they both inhabit the physical body of the Antichrist.

Revelation 17:11
11 And the beast that was, and is not, even he is the eighth, and is of the seven, and goeth into perdition. (KJV)

Previously we proved this beast to be Satan (e.g., goeth into perdition), but the scriptural context clearly indicates it is also the Antichrist:

Revelation 17:12-13
12 And the ten horns which thou sawest are ten kings, which have received no kingdom as yet; but receive power as kings one hour with the beast.

13 These have one mind, and shall give their power and strength unto the beast. (KJV)

Likewise, another scriptural example illustrating the same theme:

Ezekiel 28:11-16
11 Moreover the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,

12 Son of man, take up a lamentation upon the king of Tyrus, and say unto him, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Thou sealest up the sum, full of wisdom, and perfect in beauty.

13 Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God; every precious stone was thy covering, the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold: the workmanship of thy tabrets and of thy pipes was prepared in thee in the day that thou wast created.

14 Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee so: thou wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire.

15 Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee.

16 By the multitude of thy merchandise they have filled the midst of thee with violence, and thou hast sinned: therefore I will cast thee as profane out of the mountain of God: and I will destroy thee, O covering cherub, from the midst of the stones of fire. (KJV)

Previously we proved that the scriptural passage above is a reference to Satan. Yet, the next several verses allude to both Satan and Antichrist (e.g., bring thee to ashes in the sight of all them that behold thee, and all they that know thee among the people, etc.):

Ezekiel 28:17-19
17 Thine heart was lifted up because of thy beauty, thou hast corrupted thy wisdom by reason of thy brightness: I will cast thee to the ground, I will lay thee before kings, that they may behold thee.

18 Thou hast defiled thy sanctuaries by the multitude of thine iniquities, by the iniquity of thy traffick; therefore will I bring forth a fire from the midst of thee, it shall devour thee, and I will bring thee to ashes upon the earth in the sight of all them that behold thee.

19 All they that know thee among the people shall be astonished at thee: thou shalt be a terror, and never shalt thou be any more. (KJV)

Likewise, yet again, for the following scriptural passage. First, Satan is pictured exclusively:

Isaiah 14:12-14
12 How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!

13 For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north:

14 I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High. (KJV)

Then, both Satan and the Antichrist are associated with the same visible personage, in the next several verses, when people in Hell see him (i.e., the Antichrist) and say: Is this the man that made the earth to tremble, that did shake kingdoms:

Isaiah 14:15-20
15 Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit.

16 They that see thee shall narrowly look upon thee, and consider thee, saying, Is this the man that made the earth to tremble, that did shake kingdoms;

17 That made the world as a wilderness, and destroyed the cities thereof; that opened not the house of his prisoners?

18 All the kings of the nations, even all of them, lie in glory, every one in his own house.

19 But thou art cast out of thy grave like an abominable branch, and as the raiment of those that are slain, thrust through with a sword, that go down to the stones of the pit; as a carcase trodden under feet.

20 Thou shalt not be joined with them in burial, because thou hast destroyed thy land, and slain thy people: the seed of evildoers shall never be renowned. (KJV)

The ten horns... are ten kings... They have one mind... shall give their power and strength unto the beast. (Rev. 17:12-13, 17). This biblical prediction is confirmed in Revelation 13:1 which shows the ten horns (i.e., the modern-day Roman countries) wearing individual crowns of power and authority even though they will be a part of the Antichrists empire. Likewise, the leopard beast in Revelation 13 represents the Antichrist (and Satan), and the seventh head of the leopard beast represents the new world empire of Antichrist. Furthermore, Revelation 13 states that the Antichrist beast is leopard-like in its appearance, with the mouth of a lion, and the feet of a bear, and ten horns on its head. So, obviously the symbolism in that passage correlates with the prophetic symbolism portrayed in Daniels second vision. Thus, we must conclude that the modern-day countries within the geographical areas of the ancient Babylonian, Persian, Grecian and Roman empires will form the nucleus of the Antichrists new world empire. But, since the symbolic ten horns are also crowned individually, this signifies that these Roman countries will retain their identities and a significant amount of political sovereignty precisely as Daniel predicted they would. However, the collective set of crowns on all ten of the horns also indicates that these countries will be united when they voluntarily swear allegiance to the Antichrist BEFORE the Rapture.

Moreover, Revelation 17 predicts that the beast (i.e., Satan within the Antichrist) and the ten horns will receive power simultaneously (BEFORE the Rapture), and that they will retain this power for only a short period of time. That is why it is so significant that there have been very determined efforts, recently, to unify Europe even though the geographical boundary lines for the ten toes and the European Union currently do not coincide with each other. However, many more countries are scheduled to join the European Union as members by May 1, 2004, and when that happens, the European Union will encompass virtually all of the modern-day countries within the geographical territory of the ancient Roman Empire. Then at that point, all of the Roman countries will be united, organizationally, and ready to become a part of the Antichrists empire sometime BEFORE the pre-tribulation Rapture occurs. That prophetic event will take place when these countries receive power as kings one hour with the beast (i.e., Satan within the Antichrist), after which the ten horns will then give that power to the beast.
