he future of Franck Ribery has been an interesting story over the past twelve months, and despite everything that has happened and all that has been said, he has remained loyal to his current club, Bayern Munich.

The French international has been linked to a number of clubs over time, with the most recent being Real Madrid. These rumours were confirmed by Franz Beckenbauer, who stated that it would be an option if the player himself really wanted to make the move to the Santiago Bernabeu.

In response to these comments, the midfielder has declared that the speculations are untrue, and that he has no intentions of joining the Spanish giants anytime soon.

I have never thought about leaving Bayern Munich, Ribery assured in an interview reported by Tuttomercatoweb.

I am very happy in Munich, and my family is very comfortable in the city too.

The fans love me and that is certainly an important factor for me, he added.

I have a contract with the club until 2011 and I want to respect it.

Real Madrid? These are only rumors and nothing more, he concluded.

In addition to these latest claims, Juventus may also be lining up a move for the Frenchman, as they see him as an ideal replacement for Pavel Nedved who is set to hang up the boots at the conclusion of the season.
