FABIO CAPELLO last night warned Premier League bosses: You do as I say.
WARNING ... Fabio Capello
The England boss came out fighting after a spate of injury call-offs wrecked his preparation for tonights friendly against Germany in Berlin.
And the Italian insists that from now on any player who is withdrawn will be told to report to the national team docs.
Capello said: If a player doesnt play on the Saturday or Sunday, he wont be in my squad.
The two players that were injured on Saturday Lampard and Gerrard we checked and they are injured. This will be the rule in future games. The doctor will check the physical condition of the players.
We respect the club doctors but the rules will be to check the condition of the players ourselves.
I spoke privately with Liverpool manager Rafael Benitez and others. I dont expect this to happen again.
Three Lions boss Capello became uncharacteristically agitated under persistent questioning on the subject of call-offs yesterday.
Skipper John Terry believes the Italian handled the situation deftly and will expect better co-operation in future.
The Chelsea defender added: I think the boss has been clever here. Stevie Gerrard has a muscle problem so would have been a big risk in this game. There have been some problems but maybe in future hell use this to help him.
He might go to clubs ahead of a big match and say Remember last time I was lenient. But I really need you this time.
