TJ Records is back on the road with a spanking new riddim. Dubbed 'Beauty and the Beast', for the first time ever in dancehall, the riddim has a dual concept of light and dark. Although the riddim has the same beat and tempo, it has two versions, a 'light' side which is more of a 'clap' and a 'dark' side that sounds more military. The light side is a lyrically clean version with more love oriented songs such 'Control On Me' by Serani, 'Anytime' from Laden, 'Stay Close' by Wayne Wonder and also has songs from the likes of Mr Vegas.
On the 'dark' or war side there are explicit songs from Mavado, Vybz Kartel, Elephant Man, Black Ryno, Aidonia and more. This is the first release for TJ Records since the immensely popular Unfinished Business riddim which featured Mavado's 'So Special.' This is the first time the producer has attempted a dual riddim of this type he explained, "I wanted to do a clap riddim but a 'pretty' riddim won't work not on its own. Most people are familiar with me doing more controversial songs, so I thought how is it I can bring everybody into it, both sides that how the Beauty and the Beast came along and di name just fit. Both versions are to be played together you can't play one without the other."
TJ is looking forward to the riddim and expects it to do even better than his popular 'Unfinished Business' riddim.
