Music is an art form; it is an expression of human emotions whether in the form of commentary of social behavior or praise to God or poetic expression. It is also an art of sounds which are express through melodious harmony and beats.


 Music has been one of the most effective agents of the Caribbean culture since 1940. There are several different types of music reggae, rap, jazz, dancehall, to name a few but within this region of the Caribbean; Jamaica is best known for reggae and dancehall and the impact it has locally and overseas. 


 Reggae and dancehall music are two unifying force that brings people from all angles of society together. Over the years numerous persons are integrate through these two aspects of music which has fuel the development of our country and has been a marketing ground to draw tourist from all over the world who share the same taste of music and appreciate its values.


  Music plays an enormous role in todays society and it has a very strong effect on its listeners especially the young individuals so it is imperative that we listen to music that are of good nature and uplifting to our souls. Music is a god given talent unto us; it is the heart beat of a nation which keeps it growing in love and harmony, in other word music is life.
