SATURDAY

Sunderland v Middlesbrough (12.45pm)

Sunderland striker Michael Chopra could return after completing his suspension.

Kenwyne Jones (knee) remains out but Carlos Edwards is back in contention after recovering from his international exertions.

Middlesbrough's David Wheater (tonsilitis), Mohamed Shawky (hamstring), Julio Arca (ankle) and Marvin Emnes (hamstring) should all return.

Sunderland squad: Gordon, Fulop, Chimbonda, Ferdinand, Nosworthy, Collins, McCartney, Bardsley, Diouf, Leadbitter, Whitehead, Miller, Reid, Richardson, Malbranque, Tainio, Cisse, Murphy, Healy, Stokes, Chopra.

Blackburn v Fulham (3pm)

Blackburn will be without midfielder David Dunn until the start of 2009 as he undergoes surgery on an Achilles injury.

Vince Grella remains out with a calf injury but Andre Ooijer should return from a hamstring problem.

Fulham midfielder Leon Andreasen has recovered from a groin strain.

Blackburn squad: Robinson, Simpson, Samba, Nelsen, Warnock, Emerton, Reid, Mokoena,Tugay, Pedersen, Santa Cruz, Roberts, McCarthy, Fowler, Derbyshire, Villanueva, Andrews, Brown, Khizanishvili, Ooijer, Treacy.

Liverpool v Stoke (3pm)

Liverpool hope Fabio Aurelio recovers from a calf injury after failing to make the midweek trip to Marseille.

Stoke midfielder Amdy Faye is suspended, while Andrew Davies (knee) also misses out.

Liverpool squad: Reina, Arbeloa, Carragher, Skrtel, Hyypia, Aurelio, Dossena, Benayoun, Kuyt, Gerrard, Mascherano, Lucas, Alonso, Babel, Riera, Torres, Keane, Ngog, Agger, Deggen, Cavalieri.

West Ham v Newcastle (3pm)

West Ham will be without Dean Ashton after the striker suffered an ankle injury in training.

Craig Bellamy is also a doubt ahead of boss Gianfranco Zolas debut because of hamstring and groin problems.

Kieron Dyer remains on the comeback trail following the broken leg he suffered last season.

Newcastle midfielder Alan Smith is set to miss three months as he prepares for surgery on a stress fracture of the foot.

Caretaker boss Chris Hughton hopes to be able to welcome back Damien Duff (knee) and Obafemi Martins (groin).

Danny Guthrie and Joey Barton are both suspended, while Mark Viduka, Habib Beye, Jonas Gutierrez and Jose Enrique are all injured.

West Ham squad: Green, Neill, Davenport, Upson, Ilunga, Behrami, Faubert, Parker, Noble, Boa Morte, Etherington, Di Michele, Cole, Lastuvka, Mullins, Tomkins, Reid, Sears, Bellamy.

Bolton v Arsenal (5.30pm)

Bolton striker Johan Elmander could return after almost a month out with a hamstring injury.

Matt Taylor (toe) and Gary Cahill (suspension) are also out, while loan striker Ebi Smolarek will probably have to wait for his debut.

Arsenal will again be without midfielder Samir Nasri (knee) and Mikael Silvestre (leg).

Tomas Rosicky (hamstring), Abou Diaby (thigh), Amaury Bischoff (groin) and Eduardo (leg) are all still out.

Bolton squad: Jaaskelainen, Steinsson, Shittu, A OBrien, Samuel, Gardner, Muamba, Nolan, McCann, J OBrien, Davies, Helguson, Riga, Elmander, Hunt, Vaz Te, Cohen, Fojut, Al Habsi.

West Brom v Aston Villa (12pm)

West Brom hope to have Gianni Zuiverloon (hamstring), Abdoulaye Meite (calf) and Ishmael Miller (knee) available after they missed the win against West Ham.

Aston Villa trio John Carew (ankle), Ashley Young (knee) and Curtis Davies (knee) will have late fitness tests.

West Brom squad: Carson, Kiely, Zuiverloon, Hoefkens, Meite, Barnett, Donk, Olsson, Robinson, Cech, Morrison, Greening, Koren, Kim, Valero, Brunt, Miller, Bednar, Moore, Beattie, Slusarski, MacDonald, Pele, Dorrans.

Chelsea v Manchester United (2pm)

Chelsea striker Didier Drogba is not yet back at full fitness and is again likely to start on the bench.

Michael Ballack has recovered from a foot injury but may have to wait, while Michael Essien is out for six months with a knee injury.

United could have both Dimitar Berbatov and Cristiano Ronaldo back in their starting line-up.

Berbatov missed the Champions League draw with Villarreal with a knee injury, while Ronaldo made his comeback in midweek after two months out following ankle surgery.

The champions are without suspended defender Nemanja Vidic, while reserve keeper Ben Foster is out for up to eight weeks with ankle ligament damage.

Chelsea squad: Cech, Hilario, A Cole, Carvalho, Terry, Bosingwa, Lampard, J Cole, Mikel, Malouda, Deco, Anelka, Drogba, Di Santo, Ballack, Ferreira, Kalou, Alex, Belletti, Bridge.

Hull v Everton (3pm)

Hull trio George Boateng (thigh), Nick Barmby (calf) and Richard Garcia (virus) should all be available.

Daniel Cousin is set to make his debut after being suspended for last weeks win at Newcastle.

But Craig Fagan is out for up to three months with a broken leg following a horror tackle by Danny Guthrie.

Evertons Victor Anichebe faces a fitness test tomorrow after picked up a shin injury against Standard Liege.

Marouane Fellaini will return after being cup-tied, while Tim Howard should be cleared to play despite suffering from a virus.

Steven Pienaar (ankle), Andy van der Meyde (hamstring), Tony Hibbert (knee), Joseph Yobo (ankle) and Louis Saha (calf) are still injured.

Hull squad: Myhill, McShane, Turner, Gardner, Dawson, Mendy, Marney, Ashbee, Halmosi, King, Cousin, Folan, Hughes, Zayatte, Windass, Geovanni, Ricketts, Barmby, Boateng, Garcia, Duke.

Manchester City v Portsmouth (3pm)

Man City midfielder Michael Johnson is doubtful with a groin injury and Martin Petrov (groin) remains sidelined.

Portsmouth striker Ben Sahar (knee), Niko Kranjcar (ankle) and Jerome Thomas (back) are all out but Glen Little could make his debut.

Tottenham v Wigan (3pm)

Roman Pavlyuchenko and Vedran Corluka return after being ineligible for UEFA Cup action.

Luka Modric has been struggling with a knee injury, while Alan Hutton (foot) is still sidelined.

Wigan midfielder Lee Cattermole is serving a one-match ban after being sent off against Sunderland.

The match has come too early for Ryan Taylor (shin), while Erik Edman (knee) is also nearing a return.

Tottenham squad: Gomes, Bale, Zokora, Bentley, Huddlestone, Lennon, Jenas, Pavlyuchenko, Bent, Gilberto, Gunter, Dos Santos, Campbell, Dawson, Cesar, Corluka, OHara, King, Assou-Ekotto, Woodgate.
