Chelsea made an outstanding start in their Group A match with Bordeaux, racing into a 2-0 lead inside 30 minutes. Frank Lampard headed home a Jose Bosingwa cross after 14 minutes, his 18th goal in Europe, equalling a club record. Joe Cole's flicked header from a Lampard corner made it 2-0 before Lampard spurned the chance for a third, somehow contriving to miss the goal from around eight yards out.
Luiz Felipe Scolari's side went into cruise control in the second half, content to hit their punchless opponents on the break. Florent Malouda did make it 3-0 eight minutes from time, latching on to a backheel from Lampard and producing an inch-perfect shot across the goalkeeper which went in off the far post and Nicolas Anelka added a fourth in the final minute after Juliano Belletti's long-rangeshot had come back of the crossbar.
I NEVER fail, i'm just SUCCESSFUL in finding out what doesn't work Freedom is never voluntarily given by the oppressor; it must be demanded by the oppressed.
