Presidential Click, the promoters of the annual Champions in Action event are pleased to announce that the highly anticipated event, postponed due to inclement weather in August, has been rescheduled for Saturday October 18th. With a line up of the best in Jamaican music, it is fitting that the new date is Heroes Day Weekend.
The venue is the same Portmores Jamworld Entertainment Complex, and all the confirmed acts from Augusts show will be in attendance, including multi-platinum stars Shaggy and Sean Paul. Bounty Killer and his Alliance crew - Mavado, Busy Signal, Serani and more are all ready to give the eager patrons what theyve been longing for since Champions first postponement due to weather last year. Vybz Kartel will be representing for his hometown of Portmore in what will be a highly anticipated performance, with Etana, Sizzla and Taurus Riley bringing a touch of culture to the event. A host of other performers from past and present will take the expected huge turnout on an historic musical journey.
Despite the shows cancellation, the promoters of this charity event still managed to fulfill their promise to the inner city communities of Kingston, by hosting the annual childrens back-to-school treat, held in West Kingston recently.
Tony Matterhorn, Stone Love and Swatch will handle musical duties between acts and band changes to keep the show-goers bubbling. Acts will be on stage at 10pm and patrons are encouraged to come out early.
