Kartel's mother is not dead

A wild rumour raced around Kingston today that Vybz Kartel's mother and sister were shot and killed. However it is not true. The deejay denied the rumour.

A One876Entertainment.com reporter spoke to the deejay who said that it was a rumour. "My own mother called me and told me that she just heard a rumour that she was shot and killed, nutten nuh go so doggist," Vybz Kartel told One876Entertainment.com.

A number of entertainment personalities and movers and shakers called theone876 offices yesterday to verify the rumours. Most expressed shock and consternation that the deejay had become entangled in such a dangerous situation
