SHAUN WRIGHT-PHILLIPS has revealed that he has not stopped smiling since rejoining Manchester City.
SMILES BETTER ... Shaun Wright-Phillips is delighted to be back at Manchester City
The winger is preparing to make his home debut at Eastlands against former club Chelsea tomorrow.
Wright-Phillips ended his Stamford Bridge misery last month to head back to City in a £9million deal.
And the England international said: "The day I came here to sign was when I realised I could be making my first start again in front of the home fans against Chelsea.
"I am looking forward to it, as all the players are. It doesnt mean a lot to me that its Chelsea, its more about playing my first home game after coming back to City.
"I started as a Blue here, became a Chelsea blue and am back now as a Blue.
"The smile is never going to go and hopefully the goals will keep coming just as they started here."
Wright-Phillips made a storming start to his second stint with City by grabbing a sensational brace in the 3-0 win at Sunderland.
He added: "I didnt feel any pressure against Sunderland. The key thing for me was that I was coming home.
"The move all happened in the space of 24 hours. I made up my mind immediately.
"I want to play football regularly and theres no better place for me to do that than where I started. I didnt need to get advice, it was what I wanted to do.
"I didnt go out in the Sunderland match thinking of scoring. I wanted to be part of the team that won and got the three points, that was the main thing on my mind.
"I knew a victory would put us in a good position for the games that are coming up, and happily that's how it turned out."
