0 Comment written below The fathers of Jamaican world record and former world record holders, Usain Bolt and Asafa Powell will be heading to Beijing to join their sons on the side lines of the Bird Nest stadium in China later this week.
Bolt who turns twenty two (22) tomorrow, plans to celebrate his birthday in the chinese city by his mother's side. Considering the importance of such a milestone the team from Digicel Jamaica thought it was only fitting that Wellesley Bolt be present to participate in his son's celebrations and has sponsored an all expense paid trip for him to join in the festivities.
876radio.com understands that Bolt is not aware that his dad is en route to the Asian continent and will be pleasantly surprised on his arrival.
On the flip side Asafa's father, Rev. William Powell and his brother Donovan will be making the trip courtesy of Scotia Bank Jamaica and are expected to arrive in Beijing on Friday ahead of the start of the Mens 4x100 meter relays. Asafa is expected to participate in that event after failing to medal in the Mens 100 meters finals last Saturday.
