The Jackson 5 will reunite next month in Los Angeles where will be honored with a lifetime achievement prize at BMIs Urban Awards on September 4.

A BMI spokeswoman said all the Jackson brothers except Michael have confirmed they will attend the ceremony at Beverly Hills Wilshire Theater. The group will not perform. Instead, a star-studded collection of music acts will pay tribute to the band with a medley of the brothers greatest hits.

The Jackson 5 were the first band ever to have their first four singles (I Want You Back, ABC, The Love You Save, and Ill Be There) reach #1 on the pop charts. The J5 was also the first black teen idols to cross over and appeal to white audiences.
