Teen killed in deadly attack

Residents of Kew Lane, Kingston 13, are now crying foul following the attack of two teenagers in their community on Monday.

Sixteen-year-old Phillip Orr was shot dead, while his 17-year-old friend is now nursing gunshot wounds after the deadly attack.

Reports from the police are that both youths were sitting by the roadside when they were approached by four armed men who opened fire before escaping.

They were hit and taken to the hospital where Phillip died while undergoing treatment.

Residents say the attack has now left them in fear.

"Di man dem jus come in yah come kill off di likle youth dem just like that ... . Dat coulda happen to anybody else, a coulda me or mi modda or mi likkle bredda ... . A foolishness dem ting deh," one resident said.

Another resident told THE STAR that the youths were not known for any form of bad behaviour. As such, the death of Orr is a definite shock to the community.

"Da likkle youth deh is a welder eno, a working youth, suh right ya wi not even know wah fi think cause dem yute deh nuh known fi inna nuh wrongdoings." he said.

Meanwhile, the Half-Way Tree police say they will be monitoring the area in hindrance of any future attacks.
