MIAMI -- One person was killed and five others injured when someone opened fire at a graduation party in Northwest Miami-Dade. About 200 people were at the party on 32nd Avenue and Northwest 48th Terrace when someone pulled out an assault weapon and began shooting. Six people were injured. All of them were taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital, including 18-year-old Frank Crump Jr., who was pronounced dead at the hospital.
One other victim remains in critical condition. The victim's family told WPLG-TV that the Crump was getting his life back on track and trying to stay out of trouble. He had a construction job and was a father of a 1-year-old child. The Miami-Dade Police Department is investigating and are asking anyone with information to come forward.
