A St Catherine higgler, who has been in custody for several months after being charged with gross indecency, remains with the police despite being granted bail.

The man of a Point Hill address had his bail offer further extended until August 5 when he appeared before Resident Magistrate Lorna Errar in the Spanish Town RM Court on Tuesday.

Allegations are that in August 2007, the man picked up two boys, 13 and 14, and took them to his house where he conducted lewd sex acts with them. If they refused, they were beaten.

One of the boys escaped and informed a pastor of his ordeal. A report was made to the police and the man arrested.

On his first court appearance, he said it was the boys who took advantage of him.
