876radio.com has just learnt that Dancehall selector, Foota Hype whose real nane is Oneil Thomas, today walked free from the confines of the Gun Court after he was cleared of gun related charges.

Last year the popular selector was charged by members of the Constant Spring Police division after a he was seen acting suspicious in the Cassava Piece community. A search was conducted and revealed a 9mm pistol which lead to his arrest.

According to Hypes' legal team the lawmen who arrested him on the day in question are now before the courts facing murder charges and hence they could not be placed on the stand as credible witnesses. This was concurred by Government Prosecutors and was sited as grounds for the dismissal of the charges.

The selector who continues to plea his innocence said that the pistol in question was planted in his vehicle and does not belong to him.
