Thirty year old Ian Omar McNeil, a gardener of Wayne Road in Portland took his own life on Monday.

Mr. McNeil's body was found hanging at his house about 6:30pm.

He would have celebrated his birthday later this month.

He was a gardener at a hotel in Drapers.

Mr. McNeil failed to show up in the morning and his bicycle was seen parked in front of his one bedroom house which he occupies with his son.

Residents went in search of him and found him dead when they opened the door.

His sister Beverley said Mr. McNeil had told his son that he was going to kill him and himself.
