Soca king Machel Monano will be performing at the "Official Atlanta Caribbean Carnival" on Saturday, May 24 in Atlanta, Georgia, where he will be preented with the Phoenix Award and named "Caribbean Music Ambassador" for which he states, "I am very grateful"

The presentation will be made during the performance at the Carnival's Festival Village which will feature soca artistes such as; Iwer George, Jamesy P., Problem Child among others, backed by band De Soca Unit.

The Atlanta Carnival festivities will follow the parade of bands, which will be held downtown Atlanta in the Auburn District between noon to 10pm
