JAMES McFADDEN admits he has been too embarra**ed to meet Birmingham fans this week.

The relegation-threatened Blues were thumped 5-1 by Second City rivals Aston Villa last Sunday.

McFadden, 25, confessed: I havent become a recluse but Ive kept my head down when Ive been out and hoped I wouldnt bump into anyone.

Ive tried not to see any fans because they dont want to see me swanning around.

Id also be a bit embarra**ed to see the fans because I know how they feel. They are going to have their noses rubbed in it until the next time we play Villa.
