Make the noise go away
That which never ceases to stay
Make it go far from never more to remain
Never to harm anymore or my body to stain

Take the noise that I hear
That which causes so much fear
Take it away from me, this my sincerest plea
Take far and destroy it, never more to be

For the noise I hear always comes to me
Whenever I strive to do good with thee
Kill, maim it never let it cross my path
The noise that I hear is the devil's wrath

Take the noise away from me
Never more shall it be
For when it enters me
It doesn't allow me to be free

The noise controls me and turns me around
The noise dictates my footsteps upon an uneven ground
The noise that I speak of is within
The noise that  is worse than sin

Help me I cry
As I lay down for nigh
For even in sleep I am haunted
And I awake suddenly at life it has taunted

Forget about me and pretend I do not exist
Be gone with thee and pack a weaker fist
Do not hit me or harm me any longer
For when the noise is away I can be stronger

But then it comes again
And my deepest regrets it shall win
The noise of pure hell and sin
And those awful places it tells me it has been

I cannot run nor can I hide
For the noise is upon me and always inside
As if born with an affliction
And to live and die at the benediction

Why am I the victim how shall I stand
I crawl on the ground and hold out my hand
For it is a blessing that I seek
A blessing especially for the meek

Remove this noise
And set me free
I want to hear the voice
Of the one who's come to save me.
