Kartel scores another #1

Vybz Kartel aka Addi Di Teachas smash hit single, Wine Pon You hit the #1 spot on both the RE and the Richie B charts this week as the deejays popularity continues to surge among dancehall fans.

The deejay was in high spirits today and he cracked jokes and spoke glibly about this latest achievement.Now that I am number one on both charts, it just means that I am hotter than Beethoven and Mozart. It feels natural because I was always number one without official acclaim, now it just feels officially natural, he told a reporter.

On the RE charts, this is the deejays second number one single this year as Beyonce Wine spent four weeks on top of the charts. In the meantime, Wine Pon You is the deejays first number one on Richie Bs chart this year, but he had already scored a top ten hit with Beyonce Wine.

'Wine Pon You' is also in the top 20 of the HYPE TV charts and last week, was at the #2 spot on the Stampede Street Vibes chart.
