The nominees for the 2010 Soul Train Awards were announced yesterday, and the nominees for the BEST REGGAE ARTIST award are:
- Damian Marley
- Gramps Morgan
- Gyptian
- Jah Cure
- Mr. Vegas
- Vybz Kartel

The Soul Train Music Awards

is an annual award show which honors the best in Black music and entertainment, with the reggae category award being added just last year (Sean Paul was the winner).

The 2010 Soul Train Awards will be taped at the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre in Northwest Atlanton Wednesday, November 10. It will be aired on BET at 9 p.m. ET on Sunday, November 28

Gyptian

The Jamaican born artist has been riding high off the success of his global chart topping hit Hold Yuh, that was dubbed a 2010 summer anthem.

Damian Marley

Distant Relatives, Marleys recent collaboration with rapper Nas, proved the artist isnt resting on the legacy of his father and is out to make his own path.

Mr. Vegas

Crowned the Dance Hall King, Mr. Vegas has been serving up hits for the past twelve years.

Jah Cure

Jah Cure has been steaming up dance floors with Hot Long Time featuring Junior Reid, Flo Rida, and Movado.

Vybz Kartel

His latest album Pon de Gaza has been heating up the reggae charts in the U.S and Europe.

Gramps Morgan

His recent album 2 Sides to my Heart has four hit singles that really speaks to reggae lovers.
