Popular dancer turned party promoter, Kahlyl 'Notnice' Grandison, who was robbed on Saturday morning at his house on Chisholm Avenue, Kingston 13, is making claims that he was set up by persons.

With earlier efforts to contact him being unsuccessful, Notnice finally decided to speak with THE STAR, recalling his near death experience. He, however, decided not to disclose who the suspects of the set-up were.

"Mi a lef mi house about 2 o' clock Saturday morning to go a party at Limelight. As mi come out a mi yaad, three gunman jook mi dung. Dem approach mi from backway and tek mi chain, mi earring and mi wallet wid mi credit card and ting," said Notnice.

He continued, "One a dem seh mi fi gi dem mi car key or dem a go kill mi if mi nuh cooperate, then dem put mi inna di car wid mi head between mi foot dem an tell mi nuh fi look weh mi a go."

Notnice said he did as he was told, and when the car stopped he said he immediately recognised his surroundings.

"Dem stop the car round a Spanish Town Road. A next one seh, hey bwoy, a who yah par wid? Mi seh Killer. Den him seh yuh ah go dead tonight. That a when mi mek mi escape. Mi run lef dem come back up Spanish Town Road and head to the Hunts Bay Police Station and file the report."

The information arm of the Jamaica Constabulary Force, the Constabulary Communication Network, made checks with the Hunts Bay CIB and it was confirmed that a report was made, and investigations are ongoing.

Notnice says he knows that the robbery was a set-up, "Mek it be known seh mi know the whole ting was a set-up. But dem neva touch mi account, neva tek mi life or dem neva tek mi wife so mi good."

With a little over $1.5 million worth of valuables lost, Notnice says he is thankful that he still alive.

Notnice is warning criminals not to think of entertainers as their next meal ticket.

"Right now dem a rob the entertainment people too much. Just see the entertainer them and low them. Look how wi deh yah a try deal wid the peace. If dem waan wi start move wicked wi can do it, but a di peace wi a hold," he said.

Notnice is a member of the Bounty Killer-led Alliance and also holds the position of promotions manager for Hapilos Entertainment.
