WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN NIGGER AND NIGGAH?

the word nigger came from one place, but in today's day n age it has more than one meaning. ignorance may have caused this but this new word "nigga" which goes among black ppl like a regular greeting, is it really that big a deal? its not like we are using it to descriminating against each other. there are many other words we(not just blacks) use daily that has a dark history, but most ppl or even a few past generations are ignorant of this. is that a bad thing or just "evolution of verbal communication"?

I WAS WATCHING THIS DOCUMENTARY CALLED THE"N WORD" AND THEY WERE TALKING TO PPL LIKE ICE CUBE, QUEEN LATIFAH, SAMUEL JACKSON, MAYA ANGELOU AND OTHER AND THEYRE SAYING THAT THE TERM "NIGGAS" IS JUST ALWAYS A WAY TO PUT DOWN BLACK PPL SELF ESTEEM......

FOR EXAMPLE...SUCESSFUL BLACK MAN RISE FROM THE SLUMS AND MAKES IT AND OWNS A CHAIN OF RESTURANT....THOSE PPL PERCEPTION OF HIM FROM THE SLUMS IS "OH HE JUST SOME DUMB NIGGA WHO FEEL HE BETTER THAN ALL THE REST OF US....JUST CAUSE HE OWN SOME COOK SHOPS"

SO ITS REALLY A SLANG TO DOWNGRADE THE PPL

hmm there are sum black ppl who dont use it like that. they say "yow this my nigga! u dis him u dis me!" n so on. i dont think they are using it negativey. i guess its a matter of knowledge that makes sum ppl view niggah as downgrading but those whole use it without certain to describe thier closest frends; to them its not negative its just another synonym for "my closest fren" or sumn like that. hmm ignorance is bliss, but... sigh idk
