THE Government is now seeking the approval of Parliament to further extend the limited state of emergency which has been in effect from May 23.

The measure which had initially been for Kingston and St Andrew was last month extended to include St Catherine.

Today Prime Minister Bruce Golding said the security forces in recommending another extension, have advised that Clarendon be included this time.

The extension, if granted, would see the state of emergency continuing until August 21.
