A policeman accused of trying to rape a civilian who works at the police station he is attached, was granted bail in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court on Friday.
The cop, attached to the Area Five police, was granted $250,000 bail with a surety. He should return to court on September 9 for trial.
Allegations are on April 9, the officer offered the woman a drive home. During their journey, it is alleged that the officer attempted to rape her. It is reported that they were coming from a nine night of a colleague.
The accused man appeared in court shortly after his arrest on Friday morning.
