"Oneil was one who maintained a positive image, an artiste that made music enjoyable to audiences of all ages. The industry has definitely lost a good soul," said Nordia Witter about slain Voicemail member Oneil Edwards.
Touched by the death of her colleague, singer Nordia Witter is offering free downloads of her album track, Hourglass. The news of the slain entertainer has truly disturbed Witter.
Initially, the ideas behind the lyrics of Hourglass were inspired by the passing of her brother that suffered a similar fate at the age of 24, which has given her an insight into the agony it brings.
Witter hopes that the song will console and remind his relatives of the robust support and love that exist within his industry family. Witter also wants to honour Edwards and raise awareness of the anguish that violence can build.
Dale Virgo, who also co-wrote with Dahlia Ashley and Nordia Witter, produced the track.
The free stream of Hourglass is available on Witter's website www.nordiawittermusic.com, where fans can also access her blog to post their own thoughts.
