Up to late last night, several communities across the island, which are alleged to have an allegiance to reputed area leader Christopher 'Dudus" Coke, were still calm.
When the STAR made checks with these areas, police personnel revealed that things were calm and uneventful.
Checks made with the Mountain View Police, the Fletchers Land Police and the Denham Town Police in Kingston, revealed that there were no disturbances. Similar reports were received from the police in May Pen, Clarendon, Montego Bay in St James, Spanish Town and Old Harbour in St Catherine.
There had been claims that there might have been disturbances in these areas, following the announcement by Prime Minister Bruce Golding that the extradition request for Coke, would be signed.
