A section of Spanish Town remained tense up to early this morning following the shooting of several persons, including a man alleged to be a high-ranking member of the One Order gang.
THE WEEKEND STAR learnt that about 10 p.m. men travelling in a motor car sprayed the vehicle in which he was travelling with two other persons in the Feather Bed Lane area, off St John's Road.
This action resulted in persons being ordered off St John's Road by gunmen who claimed that they were on their way to retaliate. Following this, there were reported shootings in the Red Pond, Fairview and Rivoli communities in Spanish Town.

A heavy detachment of police tried to quell the disturbance and remained in the affected areas up to press time. The Spanish Town police told THE WEEKEND STAR that they are investigating the incidents but they were unable to determine if there were any fatalities.
Meanwhile, several residents of St John's Road remained worried as they claimed that there were likely to be a number of repercussions.
"I don't know what is going to happen tomorrow, as when the man dem order we off the road them say them a go defend it and you know how things can gwaan a Spanish Town already," one woman said.
