THE National Water Commission (NWC) is warning customers in areas of St Ann that repair work on the Claremont Pumping Station in the parish is 'far advanced' but that supply will remain affected.

Affected communities are: Orange Park, Alderton, Lydford, Lydford Housing Scheme, Rural Retreat, Barrett Hall and sections of Beechamville.

"Despite the challenges, the maintenance team is working feverishly to restore water supply to the affected communities by Saturday, May 1," said the NWC in a release today.

Apologising, the utility asked customers to remain patient and understanding during the service interruption.
