Malmo, Sweden (AHN) -- An inmate in a Swedish prison received an official warning from the warden for expressing himself through flatulence.

Anders Ericksson, warden of Kirseberg prison in Malmo, said numerous guards lodged complaints against the 21-year-old prisoner, accusing him of a series of fart attacks, according to reports.

Ericksson said in all his years of working within the justice system he has never seen anyone get punished for this type of behavior.

According to prison authorities, the prisoner said he had an upset stomach but did not want to offend anyone around him while he was playing cards. Instead, he walked over to the guards to pass gas.

The prisoner was given a warning and could face harsher punishment if his behavior continues.
