Sale, England, United Kingdom (AHN) -- Instead of babysitting her newborn great-grandson, a 66-year-old British woman will be the one monitored - by authorities.
Joan Higgins, owner of Majors Pet Shop in Sale, England, was fined $1,506 and ordered to wear a tracking device on her ankle as punishment for selling a goldfish to a 14-year-old, according to reports.
Higgins also has a seven-week curfew. She will have to be inside her home from 7 p.m. until 7 a.m. every evening until June, reports stated.
A 2006 law forbids selling live fish to anyone under the age of 16.
Higgins' son, Mark, 47, was ordered to pay $1,300 as well, and given 120 hours of community service.
The teenager was sent into the store as part of an undercover operation, according to reports.
