With an alarming increase in the number of Nissan Sunny motor cars with B13 engines being stolen, one car park in downtown Kingston has decided to ban the vehicles from entering its lot.
According to the persons who have been monitoring the car park, these types of vehicles have frequently been stolen from the parking lot and as a result, they have decided not to allow any such there.
"Dem thief dem hard hard man, so we just stop mek dem come in here" said Turnpike*.
The police have confirmed that a number of Nissan Sunnys that have the B13 engines have been reported stolen.The police said the robbers have an instrument that is able to enter these cars.
"The robbers have a universal key that can enter all the Nissan motor vehicles of this type," a policeman told THE STAR.
On entering the parking lot, motorists will see a sign saying 'No B13 Nissan Sunny allowed'. A number of these vehicles were seen being turned away upon attempting to enter the lot.
Turnpike said sometimes they do let people driving such cars into the lot, however, it has to be someone the people manning the car park know very well, so they can identify the car with the person.
